In some Nigerian churches today, most pastors could be seen exploiting their members by asking them to bring money at the slightest opportunity so as to aid church growth.
Even some general overseers have made it compulsory for every one of their members to make sure they drop something (money or a donation of musical instruments) for the church, even when the member is as poor as a church rat.
According to a viral video that was obtained from the Instablog9ja Facebook page, it was reported that the Nigerian actor, Gideon Okeke, has lamented the rate at which his church demands money at the slightest opportunity.
"Even when you stand or sit down, the church will still demand money from you."
